The luxury kitchen was filled with crying when Daniel Carter walked in.
His young daughter Lily stood near the marble island, tears running down her face.

Why is she this scared?
Victoria crossed her arms.
Because you let her get away with everything.
Daniel’s expression changed.
This was not the first time Lily had become frightened around Victoria.
But it was the first time he had walked in early enough to see it himself.
