Near the side of her neck was a small coded tattoo.

Harrison stared at it.

His face went pale.

Avery looked at him.

Who gave you that mark?

Avery did not answer immediately.

The soldiers around them were watching now.

The tattoo contained numbers surrounding a small geometric symbol.

To everyone else, it meant nothing.

To Harrison, it clearly meant everything.

Avery lowered her collar.

My father had the same one.

Harrison froze.

What was his name?

Avery answered quietly.

Michael Mitchell.

The colonel’s expression collapsed.

Several soldiers noticed.
