CHAPTER 3. THE NAME FROM THE OLD MISSION

Harrison looked around the formation.

Dismiss everyone.

Avery immediately said.

The soldiers stayed where they were.

Harrison stared at her.

Avery shook her head.

This happened in front of them.

The answer happens in front of them too.

Harrison’s jaw tightened.

Avery continued.

Her father had disappeared during a classified overseas mission years earlier.

Officially, Michael Mitchell was listed as missing after an operation went wrong.

But Avery had spent years finding pieces of the truth.

The tattoo was one of them.

The same one used by a small team that had operated under Harrison’s command.

Avery looked directly at him.

You were there.

Harrison said nothing.
