
Then the park erupted into chaos.
People started shouting.
Parents ran toward the girl.
One man grabbed a thick branch from the ground.
Another shouted that someone needed to stop the dog.
I was still sprinting toward Titan.
My heart was pounding.
All I could think was that my partner had somehow lost control.
His career could be over.
Mine too.
And worse, Titan could be taken away permanently.
The little girl was crying and trying to move.
Titan remained over her and refused to let her stand.
