Six months later, the security room looked exactly the same.
Dozens of screens still covered the wall.
But Daniel used them differently now.
He no longer watched Noah every minute.
Rachel remained part of the family.
Noah continued therapy.
Some days were easy.
Others were frustrating.
But he kept improving.
One afternoon, Daniel passed the security room and noticed Noah on one of the screens.
The wheelchair was behind him again.
Noah was on the carpet.
This time, the sailboat was much farther away.
Rachel sat nearby.
She did nothing.
Noah moved slowly toward it.
Daniel stood in the doorway watching.
His old fear returned for a second.
Then he smiled.
Noah reached the boat.
Rachel celebrated quietly.
Noah suddenly looked toward the security camera.
He knew his father was probably watching.
He lifted the wooden sailboat and grinned.
Daniel laughed.
He did not run upstairs.
He did not call Rachel.
He simply stood there and watched his son succeed.
Months earlier, those same cameras had made Daniel panic when he saw Noah on the floor.
Now they showed him something completely different.
His son was not helpless.
He was learning exactly how strong he could become.
