Later that evening, Emma returned to the empty arena.
Most of the crowd was gone.
The lights were dim.
She stood beside the trampoline again.
Rachel walked up behind her.
You are seriously thinking about training right now?
Emma smiled.
I know what I want to change.
Rachel laughed.
Of course you do.
Emma looked toward the landing mat.
Hours earlier, thousands of people had watched her fly through the air and called it unbelievable.
Emma saw it differently.
It was not unbelievable.
It was practiced.
Calculated.
Repeated.
Failed.
Adjusted.
And finally landed.
She looked at Rachel.
Tomorrow?
Rachel nodded.
Tomorrow.
Emma smiled and walked out of the arena.
The world had just celebrated the jump she completed.
Emma was already thinking about the next one.
